Please provide a brief description of what your service does/is about: What we do!No matter what your gender, age, race, sexuality or background we are here to give all the support we can.We do this by:

  • Providing practical help & support
  • Providing safe refuge when needed
  • Reducing the risks of violence & homelessness
  • Working with children & young people
  • Increasing awareness of the signs of domestic abuse

four bedroom refuges, one in the north of the county and one in the south

  • Twenty-eight floating support spaces which enables Service Users to live successful lives within the community.
  • Children and young people services
  • 24 hour support using the national helpline
  • Drop-in clinics
  • One stop shop & information centre
  • Drug and Alcohol Awareness Programme (DAAP), run by Cyswllt Contact
  • Freedom Programme
  • Recovery Toolkit
  • We have support workers who can offer both emotional and practical support to women on our Floating Support Service and also to the women in our Refuges. 

Practical Support that is offered include

  • Any tenancy issues, and finding alternative accommodation
  • Attending appointments at job centre, CAB, Solicitor etc. 
  • Support with budgeting and financial issues.
  • Accompany women to court and police interviews

Children’s Services support include:

  • 1 to 1 support in the refuge  and floating support
  • STAR programme for (4-6 year olds with mum)
  • STAR programme for (7-11 year olds with mum)
  • STAR Club 6-12 year olds (Children only)
  • STAR Club 11-13 year olds (Children only)
  • STAR Young People
