Hywel Dda Health Board -

Sexual Health Service. We offer sexual health consultations by self referral for the population of Hywel Dda.  The consultations are in confidential open access and appointed clinics.

C Card scheme -

· To provide free condoms to young people aged 14-25, and

· To provide verbal and written sexual health information

Emergency Hormonal Contraception -

EHC is freely available from various pharmacies within Ceredigion. Follow the link for list of pharmacies.

Sexual Health Guidance for Parents

The All Wales Sexual Health Network, in conjunction with the Family Planning Association, has released advice sheets for parents.  This is to help those who want to talk to their children about sex and relationships, or those faced with difficult questions from their children about the subject.

Brook -

Brook provides free and confidential sexual health and wellbeing services for over 275,000 young people UK-wide, each year.

 

Barnardo’s Cymru

in conjunction with the Welsh Government has produced a bilingual handbook that warns young people of the danger of sexual exploitation.

Is a bi-lingual leaflet for parents produced by Stonewall Cymru. Family Lives – Got a teenager - provides advice if you have a teenager and are worried about discussing sex and relationships with them.

 

FPA - The sexual health charity that gives straightforward information, advice and support on sexual health, sex and relationships to everyone in the UK. They offer tips and advice to give you the confidence to talk to your children about growing up, relationships and sex.

The terrance Higgins Trust is one of the UK’s leading blood bourne virus and sexual health charities. Their role is to help support people and groups living with both HIV and Hepatitis C. They aim to reduce health inequalities and encourage better take-up of services, espcially for those people who are less likely to seek help. The Health promotion team offers free training and educational programmes for NHS staff, schools and colleges, commercial organisations and local authorities. They also offer an individual counselling service.
