Drug Aid: Choices

Are you under 18 and living in Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire?

You can receive information and support for alcohol, cannabis and/or any other substance use.

This support can include:

1:1 sesions with your own Worker (Male or Female)

Family Work

Group work including peer education, activity groups, life skills

Help and support to access other agencies

Support is available whatever stage you are at with your substance use and you can talk to your worker about everything that is going on for you – not just drugs and alcohol! If it’s just information you are looking for then that is fine too!

DDAS – Dyfed Drug and Alcohol Service

DDAS provides a single point of contact telephone line and email address for referrals and advice. The single point of contact is available for use by drug and alcohol users, families and professionals. All referrals into Dyfed’s substance misuse treatment system can come through this service.

The families and loved ones of people who use substances can need as much support as the users themselves. This can include direct family, carers, neighbours, friends, support staff and anyone else in the network around the person affected. We offer comprehensive treatment packages to families, friends and carers that include:

  • PACT (Parent and Carers Training)
  • Structured support
  • Telephone advice & support
  • Peer group support
  • Mutual Aid

Where practical DDAS encourages concerned others to be part of the support package for the substance user.
