Moneyline  -
is a not for profit Industrial & Provident Society and we have traded for more than 10 years. We have no shareholders taking financial returns from the company. We offer small, unsecured loans, usually for periods of less than one year. We lend to people who struggle to borrow from banks, or who pay too much for their money with higher cost lenders. We were recognised by  Credit Today  as the UK’s Responsible lender of the Year in 2011, and 2012. We take lending seriously, we take great care to make sure that any loan that we grant is appropriate and affordable. If we think there is a better solution than borrowing we will tell you.

Turn2us -
People across the UK are missing out on benefits and tax credits worth more than £8 billion a year. Turn2us can help make sure you get what is yours. Just use the simple calculator to work out how much you could claim.

TaxAid -
TaxAid is a UK charity providing free tax advice to people who cannot afford to pay a professional adviser. The service is independent and confidential.

Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) -
Help to support families and workers through the benefits and credits system.

Gingerbread -
Gingerbread provides information, advice and factsheets on all issues that arise when you’re caring for children on your own. Issues include child maintenance, benefits, tax credits, education, employment, housing, arrangements with your child’s other parent, money difficulties and welfare reform changes. Plus access to two special services:
1. Disabled child: for single parents caring for a child with a disability
2. Family safe: for single parents whose child is using or threatening behaviour.
The Lone Parent helpline is available on: 0800 018 5026. 9am – 5pm weekdays with extended opening until 8pm on Wednesdays.

Working Families -�
A campaigning charity that supports and informs working parents and carers. It also works with employers to encourage them to reap the business benefits of helping their employees balance their work and home lives.

One Space offers information, advice and solutions to a variety of worries you may have as a single parent.

The Single Parent Action Network is providing a 1-2-1 benefits, money and debt advice service to help one parent families on low income avoid debt and financial crisis.

The One Space ‘Money Survival Kit’ provides a range of money saving solutions which single parents can access at a time and place which is convenient for them. The online resources include 1-2-1 finance and debt advice via e-mail as well as solutions-based case studies that reflect real life experiences.

Wales Illegal Money Lending Unit

The Wales Illegal Money Lending Unit is a specialist Trading Standards team that deals with the problem of illegal money lending across the whole of Wales. We investigate and prosecute illegal lenders (loan sharks) who target the poorest and most vulnerable members of society.
