Parent Participation

One of the requirements of the Welsh Government (2005) Parenting Action Plan is that parents and carer’s are able to participate effectively in service planning.  Parental participation needs to be strengthened within services and Local Authorities have a responsibility to develop this idea within organisations. 

Ceredigion understands that there is a responsibility to engage parents in their services through consultation and participation, which results in services being designed around their users and catering for the needs of the users.  Involving parents allows service providers to gain invaluable information, which improves the quality of life of parents, children, young people and their families.
